Are you managing or owning a website built on Microsoft .NET?
Then keeping up with Microsoft's security updates is just as important as keeping your website content and functionality up to date.
Microsoft recently published CVE-2026-47304, a high-severity security vulnerability affecting System.Security.Cryptography.Xml in certain versions of .NET 8, .NET 9 and .NET 10. With a CVSS score of 8.1 (High), the vulnerability could allow an attacker, under applicable conditions, to bypass XML encryption protections and access encrypted data.
Microsoft has released patched versions to address the vulnerability. And this is where having an actively maintained CMS platform matters.
